Summer learning Journey reflection day 1-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect on the myths and legends about this our native countries.

Hello and welcome to my blog today I've been reading a myth about how NZ was formed.
So Legends say Maui(DemiGod) Created his fishhook by his grandmother's jawbone. Then one day Maui the DemiGod rode in the middle of the pacific island, so he can go fishing. Then he caught a fish. but the fish was actually the North Island of NZ!

 
 Now These are 3 fun facts
1:The Maori name for New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the of long white cloud.
2: If you wanted to become a NZ citizen. You'll need to swear oath of loyalty to Queen!
3:Last of all fun fact number three is the largest city in NZ is Auckland although its capital is wellington.

The Wind Rushed through her hair as she descended the mountain at great speed for most children this would be exhilarating, even terrifying experience, but for Lucy it was just an ordinary journey to School. Lucy’s house is like a massive tree house and the tree is humongous and also really strong.

Her school looks like an ordinary school but her school is an FBI and her teacher is a human yellow looking squid. And there is no similarities to my school.

Lucy is having the time of her life! It looks like that she is going to fall over and her days and her life is over. But she doesn't notice about it.

Because it looks like that she is worried about something.She has two guns two knives and a sword and a statute of herself. Because it would be hard to like get down and walk to school.

And you are wondering how she gets into her house. Well she has two knives and she uses it to climb up the tree house.

When she gets to her house.

Why are you late shouted Lucy Dad

Lucy Say nothing to her dad.

Then suddenly Lucy starts running into her room.

Why are you running? Why are you are!? Her Dad says questioning her daughter.

Then Lucy walks over to her Mirror looks at herself and says why is my life miserable. Then she punches her window and then goes to her mum and her dad then she kills both of them with her knife then she went down to the School (Actually a FBI place)

And know her next mark is Alo Hingano.

Athletics Reflection-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect on what we have done in an event that happen.
I had lots of fun going Athletics day! Everybody was participating and having a growth mindset. We had to wear our house team colour. My team house was green, the name was Benghazi. We had to race with others and other fun things! So this happen on Friday the 16th on 2018. This event was happen in  TPS(short for Tamaki Primary School). Room 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and parents. What I enjoyed there was all of the racing events that happen. Why this event happen, what I think the purpose for this was to fresh our minds and just have fun!



How I show the school values in this event was cheering other people on even if there are not in Benghazi making others believe that they could do anything if they believe in their self! And giving it all you got and just having a growth mindset! It was a hot bright sunny day, kids from Tamaki primary was hyped to get ready. The sun was to hot it even made the concrete at Tamaki primary was really,really hot! Even the ground got sunburn! That's why we had to put on sunscreen. I was threatened by the sun brightness. What did I ever do to deserve this?! But we just had fun and having a positive relationship and using the word teamwork. Then we had to do our chants then they had to say who won in Athletics day. And it was Benghazi! Benghazi went crazy! After all of that we had to pack up but my mum came to pick me up as soon as we had to pack up so then I grabbed my stuff, I told Miss Komor then I went with my Mum to go back home.

My Critical analysis of a still image-Fe'ao

WALT: use our analysing skills and to think the the photo is telling us.

Today in class we have been learing about Analysing and how we can refer to the picture(Photos). We were talking about how we can use our analysing skills from now on and through the future.

There were three different types of picture's. Number 1,2 and 3. We had to look at the picture and to use our Analysing skills to refer to what is going on the this photo. We had to talk to others about what is going on in this photo. We had to look at the question that was provided for us with these pictures.

Who took the photo? Someone who wanted to show us the other side of life. The reason why I am saying this it's just because their a place where other people are happy but others are not. So that's why he/she has took this photo, because he knows that there are other people or family who is still looking for happiness and peace.

How is the subject represented in the photo? So this is my opinion about what I think this is representing. So this Subject represents the pollution or like war. Because you can see that there's a Tank that he is jumping of!

What kinds of messages are being conveyed? What I think the messages is trying to say is like this is what would happen if you don't take care of the world if this is the world in the future... Are you happy know? This is what you wanted. Be careful of what you do or chose. Because that will affect the future.

How do different parts of the image contribute to these messages? So What I think part of this means like what I said before it's like a message about not polluting and what I think they are trying to stop war! because there is a Tank in this and this might refer to pollution and War. And they are trying to stop it.

What if the photo was taken from a different angle or cropped differently? It would look like he is trying to get something if it was on a different angle. It would look like he is trying to reach for the sky or it just look like that he is falling down.

Who might the intended audience be? I think they would be people who wants to get rid of pollution and trying to stop war people who just want peace.Well that is my opinion that is what I think.

How might different groups of people respond to the image? What I think how they would respond to this is, they are going to be shocked because it a kid and it looks like that his people are gone and people are polluting in this planet. And some would be heartbreaking.

Hailstone-Fe'ao

Hailstone

It looks like rain falling from the sky. But sound like the sky growling to get ready. It hits the ground as hard as it can. But it comes down heavy ready to fire! Ripple, splash as it come into earth. It looks like shattered cloud and ice mixed together. It's like the size of a rice. It looks like little people ready to fight. But then they fail because they melts away. It is so loud drip dropping on the top of my house. Then kids run out joyfully as as the Hail fades away.            

Inquiry reflection-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect on what we have done so far on our Inquiry project.
Today I've been working on my technology project for Inquiry Today. I have been working on cars with my buddies Tevita,Demetrius and Alo. We have been looking for how cars change over time. I'm we are  still not finish but I'll show you guys What we have done with my project. Hope you enjoy it! 

Reflection about pest attacking our native animals-Fe'ao

WALT: Debate on if we should agree and disagree on pest.
Today We were learning about protecting our native animals by pest who are eating our birds and other native animals from New Zealand.
A Lady name(Ms. Treena) came in our classroom and talk about pest eating our Native animals like kiwi and other native birds.
She showed us a slide about how it happens. Even Cats are pest!*They have disgrace us humans*

Then we were talking about how we can debate on what other people think. Then she shared us a website and told us if you agree if we should get rid of the pest. Disagree or kind of in the middle.
I was in the the middle because you might need them for something like the horse. Then when we were finish we had to read other people, what they think. And what I read was pretty interesting. After that we said goodbye to her, then she left.

Manaiakalani Film festival-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect on our trip to the movies(Film Festival)
On Wednesday the 7th of November we went to the Movies to go check out other schools Movies. 

First we had to go to room 5 and get put into a buddy. WE had to introduce our self to them, his name was Boise(Think that's how you spell his name)

Then We had to go into the bus and we were going to the movies! As we got there we the Teacher had to make sure all of us where there. Then we made our way to the Cinemas. When we got there we had to wait for our turn to go into the Movie. When it was our turn we had to sit in our sets and get ready to watch the movies! I think my favourite was Tamaki primary room 6 one. It told us to show kindness everywhere. Then it was finish we went back to school.

I really enjoyed going there and I hope you enjoyed reading my reflection bye!

  

Kiwi sports Reflection-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect on our kiwi sport and what we have learnt during our session.

On Monday the 29th of October Room 10 went to our kiwi sports lesson(Football). When we arrived into the field we got introduced to these two men name, Couch Will and Couch Karl. They told us to get in a circle for some warm ups. I was really cold so this would be a great start to feel all warmed up! 


Couch Will told us to sprint on the spot and he said''When I say Chop Chop you guys have to sprint on the spot then you jump and say hoo!''. So we did that maybe 4 times? The Couches were really nice men! After that we started to do some football passes, they told us how pass a football. Then it started to rain then we had to go into the hall and do it. Once we came into the hall we carried on doing the thing that we did.

After that the rain stop then we went outside and played a game. We had to get into two groups of seven. The groups names were yellow and green. So Couch will told us how to play the game. So it's like netball and football. If you have the ball you can only have two steps then stay where you are the others who doesn't have the ran around and try to get a touchdown! But then it was raining again and then we had to do it back in the hall. When we got into the hall we carried on playing but it was only three players on and then the other four plays on the other half. It was a tie(Two for all) after that he said chop chop! Then he says break down(Jump up then say hoo!) Then we said thank you and came back up to class. Well See you guys Later Bye!

         

Te tuhi Reflection-Fe'ao

WALA:Different types of abstract art.
I really enjoyed going to the trip,Te tuhi.
So first what we did was the role in the morning, We were split into groups half of us goes in the morning and the other half goes in the afternoon. I went in the morning session when we got there salome(The lady who shows us around) was running a bit late so we just, define what was abstract art.

When she got here she welcome us back to Te tuhi and then she told us about what we were here to do today. When we, were at the art studio we had to put our lunch away on the table then grab a,
A Print and sit on a table and make an art that is abstract. After we finish we our art Salome show us different types of abstract art.

• What you have learnt about abstract painting. That Abstract art is an type of art that uses shape colour texture sizes and effect.
• How technology plays a significant role in abstract painting. You can use lots of technologies like pencils pens colouring pencils and many other things that you use to make abstract art.
  
• How you make something abstract. What you'll need to make something abstract to use different kinds of shapes and sizes using different colour and texture.

 This is my art. What I use to make my art was use  different objects and use different texture and colour.          

Abstract Art Reflection-Fe'ao

Today we have been learning about Abstract Art. Abstract art is an type of art that uses shape and using colour . You can draw something that is base of something and you could make different than what others can see. Now here's the question.

1:Why are we learning about this? What I think why we are doing this is because, to learn about different type of art?
2:How would you explain how to make something abstract? How to make something abstract is, find something that you want to draw then add shape and colour to it put some detail in it. Try to make it but in your own imagination.
3:What types of Technology do artists use for their abstract art? What I think about what they use to create something abstract is a ruler, colouring pencil and a paintbrush with paint.
4: What are you looking forward to learning/doing do te tuhi? What am I looking forward to, learn in te tuhi is learning about the different types of abstract art and how to make an abstract art.
5: Why has technology changed over the years? Because when they use it back then like a sega genesis it was all classic but now technology is more higher standard!

What is Technology?-Fe'ao

WALA:Our Technological world.
Today we learnt about what is Technology. What do you think technology is? Tell me down in the comment section. So there are different type of technology that we have like a bicycle and toaster and even a toilet. Like I said there are different types of technology, like the medical technology, where you got the needles and the plaster's and the bandages. I forgot many types of technology but I remember one is the transporter technology where you get transported by a car or a bus like those kind of stuff.

There are lots of technology. You guy's know the basic one like a phone or a playstation 4  and an ipad a laptop and those kind of things. But technology can be none electrical things you still don't get me ok then. Let me tech you the way! Here's a definition about technology. It is an object that makes life easier . If you do not know what that means.

When you you hear the words life easier then you will start to think what does that mean well when that mean Technology makes life easier that means when you need water you need to go to the sea and have a drink they made it come to you. Or like you need to go school and you could walk you can go by car, and if you need to drink you could drink from a cup instead of trying to drink from the tap. And what I mean is when I said when Technology makes life easier that means they found a way to do stuff easier then doing it the hard way! School Holidays Reflection-Fe'ao

            

WALT:Reflect on what we have done in our holidays

I didn't have that much fun during the the holidays. So now I am going to tell you what I did in the holidays! So first when I came back from last day of school''aka,term 3, I just sat down on the couch and watch TV well nickelodeon Spongebob Squarepants. After that I went on my sister's ipad and played some Roblox. If you don't know what Roblox is it is this online game lot's of people played I find it fun!What I also did was went to the skate park at panmure next to the lagoon pool's and I had so much fun! 

What kind of interesting thing that I did was going to church on Sunday What I learnt about in church was Fasting. What that means is that you have to stop eating and drinking for one whole day but need to pray.  And we have to feed the missionaries so there are two types of missionaries the sister's and the elder's. So the sister's are two Ladies and the elder's are the two Men they came from a different contruries.

And what it means to feed them is that we cook some food for them to eat. They had a great time at our house and I had a great time eating! After that I went outside to play with my family and friends! Well then I went to sleep and it went back to normal boring holidays I did some cleaning around the house and making breakfast for my family and then we went to Charles Junior(fast food place) And we ate there and I was full! After that we came back home and I got my stuff ready for school and went to bed. Bye!     

Ako evening/production-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect about what we did in the Ako production.
On Tuesday the 25th of september, Tamaki primary had  Ako evening or production. What is Ako evening? Well it is something where the kids create what you learned for the term and show it to your parents. But in the evening. We start in 4:30pm, I was in the Fijian group, and that's the first destination is! Well we were doings plays that relate to the countries. My play was about the Turtles of Namuana.

We did pretty well. Just because of I think some of us didn't project our voices and some of us weren't here but others that we're here there were covering for them and they did well. Also the story's reflect on the natural disaster that in the past. And I also like the way that the other groups did but feedback you need to put expression into your words and speak more louder. I have a great time there and I really enjoyed it and what kind of feedback that I could say to myself was to put more action into it  and make people feel like I was in a disaster! Thank you!       

My Pepeha-Fe'ao

Today in the kia Manawanui syndicate we were doing another Pepeha again! But something different we had to film about us, talking about our Pepeha and going to speak in te reo maori. Since this week is te reo maori week. Well I hope you enjoyed My Pepeha!

Technology Reflection-Fe'ao

WALT: Design/Make our own phone stand.
In Graphics/Technology, Ms Ferguson,

We had to look at different types of shapes between 2D shapes and 3D shapes. What my top 3 shapes were,was a meregoround, a coke can and a dice. After looking at the difference between a 2D shape and a 3D shape have to make a google drawing.

And we have to find difference of shape, of it. Like a circle and cylinder/sphere you would have to find pictures that, something relates to that shape. Well I'm not done that because Ms Ferguson had to call us because we were going to draw a star. Each of us got a compost, it's something that you use making circles. It looks easy to do but it's hard to draw it with. Other were finish but I wasn't because I forgot how to do it! Then we had to pack up and head up to the bus!

Music Reflection-Fe'ao

WALT:Play music and understand the different type of interment that we are play.
I had a great time during Music we get to learn the Guitar and we got to play different songs. Once we got to the Music room we had a little game, it's like when you make a roster face with our hands. After that you put your hands in front of your face and the two little  holes hat you make with your hands are the eyes. When that's done Caleb will put on the Tempo and you have to make a chicken impression. And you swipe your left or right hand to the opposite side of where your hand is. After having a good game of that Caleb told us, "that we will be playing Guitar". WE learnt how to play I gotta feeling and every cat growls. What I found changeling was trying to play the C minor because you wouldn't have to touch the other strings between it. And What I learnt was how to play a new song on the Guitar and what harmony means!

             

Museum Reflection-Fe'ao

WALT:Reflect about what we have done and what we learnt in the Museum.
I really enjoyed being in the museum I get to learn new things and I loved the trip! Once we got off the bus these two nice ladies introduced their self. There names were angiqle and I think the other one was Maddy? They said that we were going to split us into to two groups I went with Tom and eran, we knew them back at school. There were going to show us the volcano exhibit. Every think was amazing was awesome when I went there. What I enjoyed there when we went inside the house it felt like a real volcano eruption! The house was shaking like it was an earthquakes and than we did some looking around and doing a work sheet that we got from the teachers back at school. And also we got some phones for us to take pictures! What I would change in the museum is there would be more shaking but not in the house but the whole exhibit and make more room and make the volcano really exploded! After that we went to go eat our lunch. After that we went to go swap over we stay with angiqel show us a lot of fun technology and that was V.R(Virtual reality), Stop motion, Robots, Paint 3D, Tinkercad and green screen. What I enjoyed playing with the most was the V.R because it looks like you are really in it! What was challenging for me was the tinkercad, because it was hard to make your own disgin with 3D block. Then we ate our lunch, we came inside and we had to buddy up with someone and we had to plane about what we’re going to do for our project on Friday. Finally we went inside the bus and went back to school. What I could think of going to the trip was remarkable! And I couldn’t wait for the next museum trip.

Cross Country practise-Fe'ao

On Tuesday the 7th of August I was practicing with Faka'ata, Tevita, Demetrius, Carra and Corrole for Cross Country, with Ms Gormoly. She said that were going to jog/run out on the streets. Not on the road! Just on the sidewalk. When we were going out of bounce to have a run all of us just started running then I already felt tired! That was a challenge for me because I would feel like i'm going to collapse right into the ground, I tried to catch up to Tevita and Demetrius but I wouldn't get up to them and that was my challenge, never giving up and always going for the win! And the one thing  that I enjoyed is was running around and practicing for Cross Country!

My preparation for ako evening-Fe'ao

This is my preparation about ako evening. The reason why I am doing this... Well you will see on my reflection. Other then that see you guys around!

Visual art Reflection-Fe'ao

Today we have been working on our art called our visual art. This is art that is different to our other art. We have make an visual art that need to relate about what we have learnt like how day and night happen and the different types of phases, of the moon. And there has to be one thing that has to represent us. So first we had draw our visual art on a A4 paper for our ralph draft and then when we are finish we have to show our visual art to the teacher and then we will get A3 paper and make our good copy on it. And this is my good copy. There is not much detailed like my ralph draft has.
The reason I draw this because I think that it would be cool if the earth would be in the bottom and the sun and the moon will be there. One thing that represent me there is a basketball there in space you can't see it it's near the moon.
The reason why I put these patterns because it would look cool next to the sun and the moon. And also I didn't know what other thing I will draw on it.

Inquiry Reflection-Fe'ao

Today in room 9 home group one(Room 10) Were doing some experiments about gravity. Ms. Fepuleai told us to have a seat, we were studying about gravity, what does it do and where does it comes from? And we were doing experiments that had to relate to gravity and how does it affect us? We had to do something that we had to do. We had to tell reasons if there's gravity on space or not. I said that if there was gravity on space would that mean that the solar system will not be orbiting the sun. But the others gave some good reason why there is gravity in space. Then Ms.Fepuleai told that we would be making paper parachutes for our LEGO people. I forgot the reason why we had to do this, I think it had to do something with the gravity and how it pulls flat paper down and the bottom of the paper the gravity pulls the paper up! I think my one looked cool and hopefully this will work... And it worked! My parachute worked like a normal one! Ms.Fepuleai told me to do it again because she had to record it. Finally after all of that we had to go back to room 10 to do our visual art. Well I hope you guys like my reflection about this the video that the teacher took is over there if you want to watch it. The Milky way-Fe'ao

Today I will be showing you guys me and my groups project about the milky way. I didn't know that we are in the milky way! Well This is what me and my in Inquiry group did, the reason why we chose this because the milky way sounded like a good topic to investigation and I didn't know that much about the milky way. This is what we have so you guys can see our oral presentation might be better then this is. But we tried our best. There are some facts like the milky way was called the road of milk. Technology reflection-Fe'ao(Day 1)

On Thursday the 7th on June 2018 the year 7 & 8 were going to Technology. We were switching classes. I was in cooking and now I want to see what class i'm going to be in now! Once we arrived there we had to stay in a line with our group, so we can see what classes we are in. The Teachers are going to pick us up like when we went to technology in the begging.I thought that I was going to be in hard materials but I went to graphics. When we went in there it was really warm! It felt like having a good sleep with my blanket in a classroom! she told to have a sit. The Teacher name was Ms.Ferguson. She told us to sit in a table if we don't have our chromebooks we could use one of her computers. Ms.Ferguson showed us how to make our own avatar. And we had to make something that relate to us. Ms.Ferguson told us that we are going to be making Phone Stands! If you guys don't know what is a phone stand, a phone stand is something to hold your mobile phone if you run out of hands. For example, you can use a phone stand if you need to do some cooking stuff!

Camp Activities Reflection(A-Z Camp Vocabulary)-Fe'ao

Today room 10 and 9 was working on there Camp booklet. Camp booklet are what we do once we were in camp. But we are still doing it. The task that I wanted to do was task three/A-Z Camp Vocabulary. Miss Komor told us that when it's 10:00(Ten O'clock)Some of us are going to be showing what we have done. Well I only did 10 because I came in late.

This was a hard task to do. I guess? Because It had to relate what we had did in Camp!? If you guys don't know what I am talking about. I will tell you guys. There's the letters A-Z. Within that There are you can see the letters of the alphabets going down, you will need a pencil or a pen to do this! And you will need to write down what with that starting of that letter. For an example A= Air rifles,Achievement. The word that I didn't found easy was the letter G. Because I couldn't find what word I could write for the letter G.

Camp reflection 2018-Fe'ao

Today we had to write about a reflection that had to relate to where we had went and that's to camp raglan! Camp was awesome my brother told about when he went to camp back in 2016 in term 4. It was really cold in camp but that didn't stop us from going. We had great time having a blast there, here's my reflection about camp. It was fun making great memories this year! I hope you guys will enjoy my reflection!

Pasta salad Reflection

Today the year 7 and 8 students from Tamaki primary school went to technology. When we arrived there we had to get ready for cooking! The year 7 were cooking  pasta salad.
First:we had to boil one half of water.
Second:Add the macaroni into the pot with the boiled water.
Third:when it's cook, drain the macaroni with cold water.
Forth:Get your pan and cut you ham and put it into the pan.
After that add the macaroni with the mayo and the ham then mix it.
When that's done you can sever it with a small white bowl and enjoy!
I think this was challenging for me because i'm not good at cooking but I can get better while i'm in  this cooking class!

Technology Reflection-Fe'ao

This is my Reflection about Technology, it's about what I found hard and challenging and also what we had done in the cooking class. 2 more things are that also want to tell is that you guys can also copy the ingredients! Tai Chi and Kung Fu-Fe'ao

Last week in Wednesday the 14th the year 7 and 8 students were learning about Tai Chi. If you guys don't know what is Tai Chi is it's basically like Kung Fu. It was the coolest thing I'v done in fighting stuff! Well I hope you enjoy reading it!   

Kiwi Sports-Fe'ao

On Monday the 19th of February,

We played tennis with a guy who came to our school from kiwi sports. He told us to buddy up with someone. After that he told us to each line up with our buddy. But one of our buddy has to go the opposite way.This game was challenging for me because the instructor has to say some random words then when he say BALL we have to grab the ball in front of use as fast as possible! I would always try to take the ball but my buddy always fast! And that is why that is a challenge for me by always moving fast! He told us to go to a net where a tennis racket is. After that he told us what we have to do. So see where your buddy is one of your buddy has to throw each ball to you and you have to hit it back to them. So now we are going to start! There were not much nets there so we had to take turns like one of there buddy go first then the other buddies go! what I really enjoyed is this game that we did there. It's something like this the guy who came to our school has cards and with those cards he picks up one and if it says 10 diamonds we have to go to the nets and hit 10 balls over the net!
